Subject: [vawcnews] Sad news about Julie Graham

It is with much sadness that I pass on the news that Julie Graham passed away on Sunday.
Julie had difficulty breathing after procedures relating to her windpipe and while flying back from Australia on Saturday she couldn't get enough oxygen. Though the pilots landed the plane early in an emergency in Tennessee she was not able to recover. 

Many of us know Julie and her contributions around our community. Concerning VAWC, Julie was at the very first meeting, and maintained a relationship to it most recently with undertaking co-writing and co-editing the VAWC Book Project.

To speak for myself, Julie was a special inspiration. She introduced me to worker co-ops and supported me in working with them since 1999. She was tireless in supporting her friends and work partners, and I'll miss her very much.

I don?t know if this is the right forum, and you may already know that a potluck gathering is planned for Saturday, April 10 from 12 ? 5 at Julie?s house. We figure around 2:00 or so can be a time for people who would like to speak. Perhaps some of the remembrances written on this website could be read aloud for those who cannot attend.
Parking will be limited so carpool when possible and look for signs to let you know what we have worked out.
